• Chihuahuas are one of the most long-lived breeds out there. A Chihuahua lifespan averages between 12-15 years
• Chihuahuas have the biggest brain in the dog world. They’re quick-witted and easy to train.
• Chihuahua has the largest color combinations of any breed. Chihuahuas can come in just about any color combination. The color varieties are as big as you can imagine. Their hair also comes in long, short, or mid-coat. It can be wiry or silky and can be a single coat or double coat.
• Long haired Chihuahuas have their own lingo for their hair. Their tail hair is called the Plume. The hair on their legs is called Furnishings. And the hair falling from their ears is called Fringe.
• Chihuahuas were used as hot packs in ancient times.
• Chihuahuas are considered a ”natural” dog because their coats are not sheared or clipped, and their tails and ears are not docked.
• Although chihuahuas are not known as a guard dog, and more seen as a companion dog, chihuahuas can be very good watchdogs. Chihuahuas can work as an “alarm system” and  barking out loud if they detect a stranger or animal lurking around.
• Chihuahua’s natural anxiety for being around strangers or too much excitement, it is common to see chihuahuas shaking and shivering.
• Trained chihuahuas can help people with disabilities. Chihuahuas also do very well as a service or guide dogs. Also known as seeing-eye dogs, some chihuahuas are particularly trained to lead the blind and visually impaired people, assisting them to navigate obstacles that they normally would not be able to do alone

Purchase Process: 

• Send us an email to texaslovablechihuahuas@gmail.com with the puppy’s name in the subject line and more details in the email.
• We will contact you as soon as possible to discuss further details on the puppy requested.
• Upon approval the puppy requested will be scheduled for a pickup date.
• Pickup date is setup for the puppy no earlier than 9-10 weeks old and must be picked up in person by buyer.
• Final invoice and payment is due at the time of puppy pickup.
• All paperwork is done at the time of puppy pickup.
• Puppy goes to its forever home of love and care with new family.
